For Marriage Registration in Thailand
Both parties in the
marriage must:
- Be at least 20 years old, except with court permission for those aged between 17-19 years.
- Not be legally incompetent.
- Not be siblings by blood, either from the same parents or just one parent.
- Not be adoptive parents and adopted children of each other.
- Not already have a spouse.
For women who are widowed or divorced, they can remarry after
- At least 310 days have passed since the divorce or the death of the spouse.
- Marrying the same spouse again.
- Giving birth.
- Obtaining court permission.
- Presenting a medical certificate from a Thai hospital proving non-pregnancy.
Applying For a Marriage Visa in Thailand

Qualifications for a Marriage Visa in Thailand:
- Legally register the marriage with a Thai national.

- Have a monthly income of more than 40,000 THB or a certification letter from the respective embassy.
